The Clinical Information Coordinator I implements electronic health record (EHR) systems, bed management systems, computerized physician order entry systems, or any other relevant health information systems. Designs, implements, maintains, and analyzes data from clinical informatics systems. Being a Clinical Information Coordinator I evaluates and recommends improvements to systems. Analyzes data produced by these systems to identify trends and areas for improvement and to ensure systems are functioning properly. In addition, Clinical Information Coordinator I may provide staff training on new or updated systems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in informatics and/or nursing. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Clinical Information Coordinator I work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
