Applies user-centered design principles to improve the workflow, expand the functionality, and enhance the visual appeal of websites and mobile apps. Being a Human Factors/UI Designer I applies the results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features. Designs wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. In addition, Human Factors/UI Designer I requires knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, lineto and FLASH. May perform user research, usability testing, or facilitate focus groups. May require familiarity with various graphic design software packages Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Human Factors/UI Designer I work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
