The Marketing Planning and Operations Manager develops and implements marketing plans to serve the business objectives. Manages the marketing activities and programs for the organization. Being a Marketing Planning and Operations Manager selects and manages ongoing relationships with different marketing vendors. Stays abreast of changes in the marketing environment and coordinates market research projects. In addition, Marketing Planning and Operations Manager may oversees advertising, events and public relationships. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Marketing Planning and Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Marketing Planning and Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
