The Quality Methods and Optimization Manager makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Being a Quality Methods and Optimization Manager may be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. In addition, Quality Methods and Optimization Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Methods and Optimization Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Quality Methods and Optimization Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
