Job Description

The Supervisor of Behavioral Health Services leads a team performing psychological and behavioral assessments for patients. Supervises the treatment of patients with emotional, mental, or psychological disorders. Being a Supervisor of Behavioral Health Services conducts reviews and audits to ensure compliance with clinical policies, guidelines, and regulations, and to improve the effectiveness of those policies. Ensures behavioral analysts design and implement effective behavior intervention plans. In addition, Supervisor of Behavioral Health Services implements training programs and supports and supervises staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in psychology or related field. May require Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Typically reports to a manager. The Supervisor of Behavioral Health Services supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as a Supervisor of Behavioral Health Services typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
