Aeronautical Engineering Senior Manager manages the design of aircraft and helicopter parts and propulsion systems to optimize aerodynamic performance and promote safe, efficient, and reliable operation. Implements organizational policies and procedures to optimize workflow and ensure compliance with all federal regulations. Being an Aeronautical Engineering Senior Manager facilitates innovation by remaining up to date on technology advancements for application on design improvements of aeronautical products. Communicates and negotiates with supply vendors to compare quotes to reduce costs and lead time and reports findings for analysis or comparison. Additionally, Aeronautical Engineering Senior Manager assists with the evaluation of new or existing suppliers, products and materials, or technologies. Typically requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Aeronautical Engineering Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.
