Clinical Informatics Analyst I designs, implements, maintains, and analyzes data from clinical informatics systems. Implements electronic health record (EHR) systems, bed management systems, computerized physician order entry systems, or any other relevant health information systems. Being a Clinical Informatics Analyst I analyzes data produced by these systems to identify trends and areas for improvement and to ensure systems are functioning properly. Evaluates and recommends improvements to systems. Additionally, Clinical Informatics Analyst I may provide staff training on new or updated systems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in informatics and/or nursing. Typically reports to a manager. The Clinical Informatics Analyst I work is closely managed.
