Job Description for IT Project Management and Delivery Supervisor

IT Project Management and Delivery Supervisor supervises the technical project managers and support staff responsible for the delivery of IT projects. Implements project management quality standards and methods that ensure on-time and in-scope delivery. Being an IT Project Management and Delivery Supervisor assists with the development of technical estimates, work plans, methodologies, and deliverables. Coaches and trains project team members. Additionally, IT Project Management and Delivery Supervisor monitors milestones of assigned projects and reviews technical status reports. Troubleshoots issues and removes roadblocks. Acts as a technical resource or coordinates technical resources for projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require Project Management Certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The IT Project Management and Delivery Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Project Management and Delivery Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
