Job Description for Sales Engineering Supervisor

Sales Engineering Supervisor uses technical knowledge of product offerings to advise and support sales teams with pricing estimates and implementation guidance based on customer requirements. Researches customers' technical specifications, recommends the best product configuration and installation process, and estimates implementation effort, time, and resources. Being a Sales Engineering Supervisor reviews sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Develops and delivers technical product presentations used to engage customers and prospects and educate sales teams. Additionally, Sales Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Sales Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
