Job Overview: 

Builder Finance Inc. is a growing construction lender that works with hundreds of home builders from coast-to-coast. An essential part of the business is quickly reviewing and correctly fulfilling draw requests by builders (borrowers) for construction money.

The Construction Draws Administrator will carry out day-to-day administrative duties for fulfilling draw requests. General responsibilities include phone and email correspondence, spreadsheet work, reporting, data entry, and other various projects. The successful hire will intake draw requests, coordinate property inspections, and see that draw requests are properly fulfilled so that Builder Finance Inc. is not over-funding or exposed to mechanic’s liens.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the draw process in full: As construction progresses on a project, a borrower will request that Builder Finance Inc., as lender, fund loan proceeds to pay for completed construction progress. Funding may occur directly to the borrower or directly to those performing the work and/or supplying the materials. The Construction Draws Administrator will review each request relative to the projects budget, documentary support for the work, and inspections and local records verifying the completeness of work. Then the Construction Draws Administrator will make sure that funds are property distributed to the borrowers and/or third-parties expecting payment.
  • Achieve “same day turnaround”: The successful Construction Draws Administrator will work quickly and accurately to fund draw requests within the same business day in which they are received, or if a request is received after noon, by the end of the following business day.
  • Identify Issues: Communicate with originators in a timely manner if any issues become evident during the draw fulfillment.
  • Support: Support loan originators with select items related to loan closing and servicing.
  • Manage Key Performance Indicators related to timing of draw fulfillment.
  • Be responsible for various administrative duties including, but not limited to, entering construction budgets into spreadsheets, compiling receipts and other documentary support for draws, tracking funded vs. completed construction progress, managing 3rd party inspectors, checking city permitting and approval records, corresponding with clients, and alerting Senior Management to any issues as they may arise.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:   Looking for a May 2020 graduate with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum 3.5 GPA. Please include cumulative GPA with resume submission and any other school or standardized testing scores you feel are relevant.
  • Experience: None required. Experience with construction and/or managing the flow of real estate information in an office environment preferred.
  • Specific Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills 
    • Ability to communicate verbally and using written emails and letters.  
    • Tenacity and ongoing desire to maximize productivity
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products, primarily Outlook and Excel
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to identify problems and research and present potential solutions.
