We have an exciting opportunity on our Human Resources team for a hands on Generalist. This position will touch every major area of HR with enormous potential for broad exposure. Some examples include:
Recruiting
Benefits Administration
• Administration of company’s health benefits program including but not limited to enrollment, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, 401K, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing.
• Preparation and distribution of benefits information. Design and distribute materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions.
• Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.
• Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package.
• Administration of worker compensation plan and OSHA complaints, including but not limited to first accident report, reporting and processing claims and OSHA record keeping.
• Assist in the management of the benefit plan renewal process.
• Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee payroll records.
• Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
• Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, ACA and Social Security and DOL requirements.
New Hire Orientation
• Conduct New Hire Orientation for new employees- introduce ABC Imaging, explain employee’s benefits and company policies and to discuss new employee’s successful integration into our company.
• Assist New Hires with the completion of all necessary forms.
• Ensure new hires are enrolled in the appropriate benefits program.
• Responsible for ensuring that all new hires receive necessary telephone extensions, computer equipment, telephones, business cards etc. Employee must interact and communicate with IT and Printing departments as necessary to ensure timely completion of requests.
General Duties
• Process unemployment claims, workers compensation, and employee status changes.
• Maintain Employee files and confidentiality
• Ensure compliance with Labor Poster requirements at all sites
• Maintain HRIS and provide routine and ad hoc reporting.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
• 2-5 years experience in Human Resources.
• Knowledge of principles and procedures for human resources management and its related fields.
• Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and ADP.
• Ability to effectively reason, solve problems and make decisions.
• Ability to manage time and projects effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, high sense of teamwork and team commitment.
• Ability to work independently with excellent follow-through.
• Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ethics.
• Multi State/International experience strongly preferred.
