Job Description

Abramson Hospice, located in North Wales, Montgomery County, currently has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Bereavement Coordinator for our growing Hospice program.

This position provides bereavement support [ Link Removed ] support, memorial services, caregiver assessment and conference. 

Responsible for consultation to interdisciplinary team, client and caregiver in issues related to grief and loss.
 
A successful candidate will have the following:
 
Demonstrated knowledge of bereavement concepts; ability to relate concepts to personal experience.

Knowledge of community resources and methods for client/caregiver referrals.

Ability to develop and maintain rapport with caregiver and clients.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team.

Excellent skills in interpersonal relations and organization.

Demonstrated problem solving and decision making abilities.
 
Please note that this position does involve some travel within the community as well as some on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, theology or related field, plus 1-2 years of bereavement experience required.  Valid driver's license and a reliable care are required.
