A National Management Company, specializing in Self Storage facilities, has an opening for a full-time Recruiting Specialist. This position will home-office based. Candidate must live within the Bradenton/Sarasota. Some travel required.

Overall Responsibility: Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Recruiting Specialist, will be the face and voice of the company by recruiting candidates for open position, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding new team members. Additional responsibilities will include HR projects related to culture, hiring and development.
Primary Functions:
- Understand the organizations hiring needs by working directly with hiring managers to determine open positions within the company
- Achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, advising managers, and managing relocations
- Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs
- Understand the company culture, core values, work environments and position types
- Create job postings using the applicant tracking system to post position to job sites, social medial platforms and newsgroups to create a pool of candidates for each open position
- Generate applicants from team member referral program, tenant outreach, technical colleges, career fairs, and other creative resources to pool qualified applicants
- Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements
- Utilize technology to complete the interview process by phone and video conference
- Schedule onsite interviews with hiring managers by coordinating schedules, arranging travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews and arranging property tours
- Become the subject matter and lead expert in the organization’s assessment tool, Culture Index
- Utilize assessment tool to understand candidates best fit for the position
- Create and send offer letters, complete new hire on-boarding and connect with new hire throughout their first week to ensure a positive on-boarding experience
- Send and review background check for candidates following offer
- Coordinate new hire’s first week of training with Director of Training
- Determine applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications
- Utilize the applicant tracking software for each step in the recruiting process
- Continuously review and develop new job postings based on needs of the position to attract top talent
- Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices, monitoring job offers and compensation practices, and emphasizing benefits and perks
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training
- publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
- Develop and manage internal referral program to encourage applicant leads from internal teams
- Continuously review and update job descriptions with direction and assistance from VP of Human Resources and direct managers
- Develop and continuously update career progression model to show team member opportunities for advancement in internal roles; including secondary positions that may be available
- Lead resource for internal team members relocation request, advancement inquiries, transfers and secondary positions
- Manage the company’s salary bands by continuously reviewing market survey results based on position at the direction of the VP of Human Resources
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional
- Additional HR related projects as assigned by VP of Human Resources
Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisor responsibilities for this role

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree
- 3+ years recruiting experience required – specifically in full life-cycle environment including management of high-volume roles
- Experience recruiting for third party management such as storage or property management highly preferred
- Experience working remotely required
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit for prolonged periods of time working at a desk on a computer
- The ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment
- The ability to communicate, converse with and express information in person, by phone and through other technology
- The ability to maintain a regular and punctual schedule
- The ability to travel by car or airplane up to 25%
