Overview
Speech Language Pathologist work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing holistic, integrated mental health treatment primarily for children with autism spectrum disorders and related conditions, and possibly others. Therapists on our multidisciplinary teams provide direct therapeutic services as well as clinical oversight and direction for other mental health services for clients as part of a multidisciplinary team. Work includes services to clients in their homes, in the community, and in the office.
Applicants should be experienced and familiar with coding and billing for this service and will help develop this program/service at Accend to augment our current Early Intensive Behavioral and Developmental Intervention program.
This position will start at a piece rate with the potential to grow into a full-time position with benefits.

Responsibilities
Develop this service as a new service at Accend: consulting on the development of policies and procedures, billing codes and procedures, documentation and referral processes, progress review, and quality assurance.
Assure that we have physician orders for all speech therapy services
Provide consultation and care coordination with natural supports, school other professionals
Assess functional strengths, resources needs
Develop individualized, person-centered treatment/community support plans
Implement the interventions identified in the plan
Create individualized treatment plans with goals that include necessary diagnostic and developmental information to guide treatment.
Maintain detailed records of all activities
Conduct progress reviews that meet with requirements of agency, payers, Minnesota Health Care Programs policies and procedures and applicable rules and statutes for Speech-Language Pathology.
