ACCO Brands is seeking a Graphic Designer for our North American Culture Team. This position will play a pivotal role in the design and development of all aspects of driving positive employee culture at ACCO Brands. The Designer will balance individual creativity, good packaging/typography and industry trend knowledge that results in projects that best meet the needs of our employees.   This is an exciting role focused on graphic design, video creation, and social media presence to impact culture and employment brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Culture team, President, and leadership team to develop and design materials used for reaching employees across the North American business.
  • Impact employee engagement by creating posters, email templates, branded mastheads, PPT slides, and video; react quickly to business leaders’ priorities.
  • Design graphics for communication vehicles to reach office employees online and labor employees at local sites.
  • Lead discovery sessions by consulting with internal stakeholders; consolidate various stakeholders’ feedback into final output; incorporate feedback and give/take direction.
  • Synthesize complex ideas into brand-right design options.
  • Consistently push the creative envelope and look for new ways to reach employees.
  • Create high-quality inspirational and informative videos to be used internally at large town-hall meetings.
  • Combine motion graphics and self-shot video to create quick videos to enhance understanding and engagement in employees on business initiatives.
  • Increase the Company’s Social Media presence; create posts, know when to post organically, influence internal team on what to post and when.
  • Partner with other COEs (ex: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Corporate Communications) and Business Units (ex: Marketing) to align strategy and messages, make recommendations based on trends. 
  • Grow community participation on internal communication channels.  Proactively leverage Company calendar, timeline, events, and be highly aware of real-life happenings in the world to draw connections and therefore purposeful posts from the Company that ultimately enhance our Employment Brand.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Graphic Design or related field and/or equivalent.
  • 3+ years graphic design experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, MacOS, Premier Pro.
  • Significant expertise in Photoshop.
  • Strong motion graphic experience.
  • Experience creating Social Media posts.
  • Video creation and editing experience.
  • Comfortable creating video and still imagery using digital cameras.
  • Able to take projects from concept to completion independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with business leaders and employees across teams.
  • Experience managing external vendors and sourcing materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter, motivated and disciplined while working from home during pandemic, and in different location than manager and team members.
  • High levels of creativity demonstrated through samples portfolio (portfolio review part of interviewing process).
