ACCO Brands is seeking a motivated, results-driven Regional Sales Manager. The successful candidate will understand how to lead and motivate a sales team in accomplishing sales objectives, problem resolution and building long lasting customer relationships. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading an experienced team of Account Managers.  Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding team’s sales goals & objectives
  • Assist with achieving the organization’s financial objectives
  • Responsible for recruiting, selecting, training, coaching and counseling team members
  • Plan and execute continuous training and development of team members
  • Assist team members with creating account specific short- and long-term sales objectives
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for assigned team members
  • Responsible for enforcing company’s policies and procedures
  • Assist team members in resolving problems/challenges, customer complaints and service challenges
  • Assist team members with recommending product lines by identifying new product opportunities
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture new sales opportunities
  • Assist team members with surveying consumer needs and trends and using this information to creating customer specific strategic plans and business reviews
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to align their objectives with our key initiatives
  • Provide weekly sales activities report, opportunities and wins/loses to VP Sales
  • Assist team members with monitoring and tracking trade promotion and evaluating trade show spending.
  • Collaborate with channel team to prepare and present product and promotional recommendations.  This includes catalog reviews, web scrubs and product placement during seasonal selling periods.
  • Provide support and expertise for Industry Trade Shows

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accomplished field sales experience in consumer products, experience in managing a dealer, reseller or distributor network in multiple channels (B2B and D2C) or experience in managing mass market accounts
  • Preferred 3 years plus in a managerial role or leadership sales position
  • Exceptional professional presence and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency (intermediate level) in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Strong decision-making and analytical abilities
  • Strong communications and organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively work with internal resources (Channel, Marketing, Strategic Accounts, Field Sales, Technical Services, A/R, Order Entry, and Customer Care) to achieve high customer satisfaction
  • Consistent and timely follow up skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and work from home-based office or Corporate Office where provided
  • Ability to travel approximately 60-75% of the time, visiting customers and ACCO Brands locations
