We are currently seeking a Sourcing Manager who will have responsibility for managing the sourcing process for new product launches for assigned customer or brand base. This role will be based in our Kettering, Ohio location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Responsible for development of new items to meet specification, quality, inventory, delivery and cost objectives
• Provide sourcing expertise and project management in major sourcing and resourcing projects
• Work with Engineering, Marketing and Sales to establish initial cost targets, identification of gaps and offers alternatives to meet target cost objectives prior to product launch
• Work with compliance team to ensure that all sourced products comply with ACCO’s and Customer’s requirements.
• Serve as a link between marketing, new product development, engineering, customer service, sales, Asian sourcing team, and supply chain to ensure teamwork approach to new product sourcing
• Elevate and resolve delivery disruptions.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance department during the development process to insure items conform to safety standard.
• Manage communication of artwork and labeling requirements to vendors
• Manage the approved supply base to ensure operational efficiency in the production of required products and materials.
• Ensure that set dates for product launches are met, and work with appropriate cross functional teams to mitigate any issues.
• Implement project plans, monitor the progress of projects and provide guidance to sourcing and marketing team members in execution of sourcing projects.
• Manage internal business relationships and gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements.  Manage external partnerships critical to meeting objectives.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Supply Chain or business degree preferred
• 5+ years strategic sourcing / procurement experience or equivalent technical / manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with RFQ strategy required.
• Excellent communication, technical market analysis, project management and relationship building skills required.  Demonstrated proficient interpersonal, listening and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite required; proficiency with sourcing tools and ERP system required, SAP a plus.
• Working Knowledge and Application of Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, Total Cost of Ownership, Outsourcing/Off-Shoring, Sustainability/Regulatory compliance.
• Tolerance for complexity and ambiguity, strong self-management skills necessary for this role. 
• Ability to work in an environment that embraces cross-functional collaborative team driven results.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10%).
