JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with bi-weekly payroll, including the maintenance and updating of employee data for items such as changes in wage rates, shifts, benefits elections, tax withholding elections and other personnel information, as well as the bi-weekly record keeping for PTO, sick time and other absences.
- Reviews time clock entries. Works with managers and supervisors on time clock corrections and approvals.
- Reconciles benefit services invoices to payroll withholdings on a monthly basis and investigates differences.
- Creates reports in ADP as requested to support business functions including payroll, accounting, and time tracking.
- On a daily basis, utilizes bank’s remote deposit services to scan and upload customer payments received via the mail/lockbox. Inputs check and electronic customer payments to ERP system and applies them to receivable invoices. Communicates customer payment disputes and discrepancies and assists in collections as needed.
- On a weekly basis, prepares the cash disbursement file for approval, prints and mails checks to vendors and creates ACH file and uploads to the bank. Backup resource for the keying of all other accounts payable invoices to ERP system for payment, including employee expense report and business Visa invoices.
- Gathers information related to new vendor set-up and is responsible for maintenance of vendor records.
- Provides assistance to the Accounting department to prepare and update schedules for month-end or audit
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education/Experience. Two years of post high school education coursework or equivalent related office experience required plus minimum of
two years
payroll/accounting experience preferred. Personal computer skills required. Knowledge of payroll as well as
CPP or FPC certification desired. Experience with AP/AR, customer service, and administrative functions helpful.
Computer Skills. Ability to operate personal computer Above average knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook necessary. Familiarity with
ADP payroll and time and attendance software preferred.
Language Skills. Proven written communication skills necessary. Demonstrated oral communication skills necessary for speaking to visitors, customers, employees and vendors.
Mathematical Skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability. Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities. Must possess the interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with a broad spectrum of Accu-Mold staff, customer and vendor organizations. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and a professional relationship with fellow workers and the general public.
Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may be required to stand and walk and sit for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Dexterity to perform computer operations necessary.
Work Environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Office conditions are normal.
