The Automation Solutions department creates cutting edge, custom automation equipment for deployment in the Group factories. The Automation  Technician is primarily responsible for helping the group physically create the custom automation equipment at our location.

The Automation Technician will need to work professionally with our engineers and other technicians as well as with our customers and vendors to effectively help us create the automation equipment. This role will work with drawings, customers specifications, vendor information and other information to make automation that meet the customer's needs.

Essential Functions:

• Read and follow mechanical and/or electrical prints.
• Machine and fabricate components using CNC and manual milling machines, lathes, bending, and welding
  machinery.
• Assemble automation equipment.
• Plumb and wire equipment.
• Project management, organization, and cleaning
• Service and troubleshoot equipment on our floor and at the end-user’s location.
• Ability to learn how to use, setup and trouble shoot basic automation electronics such as sensors,
  VFDs, etc..
• Other responsibilities as required by supervisor.

 Knowledge/Skills/Attributes

Required

• 5+ years relevant experience.
• Technical Associates Degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
• Preferred Skills:
• Strong communication skills to professionally interface with internal and external personnel
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Basic fabricating, machining and welding skills are a plus
