Aclara is looking for full-time Field Data Technicians to perform property surveys, locate water meters, and collect data associated with job sites.

Essential Functions:

• Visit residential and commercial properties, converse with property managers and homeowners, and conduct physical site reviews based on the project deployment schedule to gather property details and other special considerations for facilitating water meter installations.
• Remove meter lids, enter data via electronic handheld device, determine GPS points and measure and replace lids. May perform minor cleaning of meter lids.
• Identify other factors associated with properties, e.g. service/plumbing material type, heritage tree identification.
• May conduct traffic analysis.
• Deliver and post paper notices at the properties as dictated by the deployment schedule.
• Gather property details via phone conversations, when appropriate per the project deployment schedule, to facilitate the meter installations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Required:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED required.
• Demonstrated verbal communication skills and customer service ability, both in-person and via phone.
• General use of computers/tablets for data entry, tracking and reporting.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations and company policy.
• Valid drivers license and clean MVR for last 3 years.

Preferred:

• Experience working in plumbing or landscaping.
• Experience with field-based work in local area.

Physical Demand:

• Frequent standing, sitting, keying, speaking, walking, reaching, crouching, bending, and kneeling.
• 90% field-based work; required travel to and from field locations.

 Compensation & Benefits

• $15.50/hour
• Benefit eligibility, including medical, dental, and vision, after 90-day probationary period.
• 401K enrollment eligibility (effective after 30 days of employment).
• Holiday pay
