The Project Data Specialist is responsible for compiling services data for order entry and for preparing order transactions for billing in JD Edwards ERP system. Communicate as needed with customers, vendors, internal project managers and finance personnel to obtain necessary information and provide updates. Scope includes data compilation for AMI services billable to customers and SGS data compilation for intercompany invoices.

Essential Functions:

Project Manager Coordination

• Support Project Manager with day-to-day activities to manage costs and revenues.
• Provide input and support to ensure revenue projections are accurate and complete.
• Adhere to budget / forecast by monitoring spending and customer billings; coordinate corrective actions with Project Manager
• Obtain project manager approval to invoice; coordinate changes with ORM to revise billable data files as needed.
• Review and manage travel and expense support for billing; coordinate with project managers to secure customer approval for billable amounts; prepare billing transactions.

Vendor Management and Coordination

• Liaison with project managers to ensure purchase orders are properly created and maintained for product and services.
• Liaise with vendors for proper documentation and support to ensure invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
• Maintain project schedules of vendor services and performance, including invoicing and payment forecasting.

Customer Coordination

• Ensures data for billable transactions is accurate and in compliance with customer contracts and SOX requirements.
• Ensure documentation necessary to bill the customer is assembled and complete
• Ensure customer is billed in a timely and accurate manner

Additional Responsibilities:

• Complete other special projects, as needed.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics or a related field
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail to perform with high level of accuracy.
• Ability to acquire a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment, communications devices, software and contracts.
• Ability to interpret purchase orders and contracts to comprehend specific customer requirements.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to a high level of change.
• Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-driven with a proactive attitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in the utility industry.
• JD Edwards enterprise systems experience and knowledge.
• Salesforce or other CRM experience.
• Experience supporting multi-faceted projects.
