Baked by Melissa is actively seeking a full time Junior Graphic Designer to join our amazing Creative team! We are looking for a positive and passionate designer with a sharp creative eye who can support the design needs of the Baked by Melissa brand. This role will be responsible for Baked by Melissa creative assets including B2B gift guides and decks, custom material mockups, print menus and cards, as well as assisting in content creation for web, social and digital ads. They will work with a high sense of urgency to meet deadlines while demonstrating a strong attention to detail. The Jr. Graphic Designer will work closely with the Creative team as well as other departments such as E-Commerce, B2B, and Retail to deliver an exceptional brand experience for our customers. ​​​​​​​

What You’ll Do

• Create digital mockups for B2B custom gifting clients & sales prospecting
• Prepare image files for web, including optimization, slicing, and delivery 
• Edit, crop and resize imagery for use across all digital channels 
• Create easy-to-read infographics for multi-channel marketing
• Create animated gifs and selling tools 
• Stay abreast of new design trends, functionalities, best practices, and competitor work 
• Adherence to project calendars 
• Be a brand ambassador by maintaining brand voice and guidelines across all assets 
• Create and post social media content as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Strong ability to design with a fashion/luxury aesthetic 
• Ability to manage expectations, set deadlines and follow up on projects with a strong sense of urgency 
• Clean, sophisticated, and modern creative aesthetic 
• Demonstrate understanding of website usability/web optimization 
• Ability to take creative feedback and execute updates quickly and seamlessly 
• Must have a working knowledge of capabilities and best practices across desktop and mobile environments  
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced creative environment 
• Team player and able to interact across departmental divisions 
• Maintain a positive, enthusiastic and energetic demeanor to help foster an upbeat working environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or equivalent from an accredited college or university 
• 3+ years’ experience in design experience 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
• After Effects & Premiere are a plus
• Basic knowledge of print best practices & strong sense of typography
• Illustration skills
• Experience with web/e-commerce platforms is a plus
