CONSTRUCTION FORMS Industrial Spray Painter Salary in the United States

The Industrial Spray Painter uses a spray gun to wet paint primer gloss and two part epoxy on our industry leading products.  The Industrial Spray Painter is responsible for prepping mixing paint spraying and labeling a wide variety of parts.  Many concrete pumping contractors place our products on their pump trucks requesting unique colors and applications to represent their business.  The Industrial Spray Painter provides those customers with quality painted product that our customers can display with pride.  By working on third shift our Industrial Spray Painter works only four days a week for ten hour shifts giving them a long weekend every week! 

Industrial Spray Painter QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of industrial spray painting and forklift operating experience.
• Basic mathematical skills including counting addition and subtraction.
• Basic computer skills required to accurately gather and input data from computer systems.
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs with regularity.

Industrial Spray Painter RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits.
• Use a computer to access job information and accurately clock work transactions.
• Read understand and follow job order specifications work instructions and procedures.
• Recognize visual defects prior to painting and work with supervision to remedy basic quality issues.
• Use a paint gun to spray primer paint and gloss coats onto a variety of parts.
• May be required to spray two part epoxy paint based on customer requirements.
• Label all painted product with the appropriate labels for the job order.
• Operate a forklift to move the painted product to the appropriate area of the shop.
• Troubleshoot issues that may arise and escalate appropriate issues to supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment including complying with safety procedures rules and regulations.
• Assist with cleaning of the paint booth including changing paint filters and additional booth maintenance.
• Willingness to cross train and perform the work of other job tasks when necessary.
