Continental Finance Company specializes in credit card options for those consumers with less than perfect credit. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Operations team.

The Business Analyst acts as the liaison between Information Technology and Operations functions by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, data control and integrity, testing and deployment tasks of our business products and initiatives. In conjunction with our Operations Project Manager, this individual is responsible for solving organizational information problems and requirements by analyzing business and technical requirements; creating technical specs, and implementing process controls and protocols.

 Essential Functions:

• Manage business requests and enhancements for all development efforts, including number of development hours required, critical fixes, and tasks to be included in each release.
• Create user stories, use cases, QA routines and test scripts, unit testing, and user acceptance testing, including regression and acceptance testing methods.
• Develop functional documentation on current and proposed processes including process workflows, procedures, business rules, screen prototypes, user application design interfaces and development of wire frames.
• Learn the current process for existing programs and processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and execute to efficiency and optimization.
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity, trouble-shoot system issues, identify path for resolution, and ensure resolution occurs.
• Create SQL queries and analyze results to support QA, documentation and compliance.
  

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on major technical software projects.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methods of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  
• Knowledge of business management principles, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams and across all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Project Management experience a plus.
• Ability to adapt to frequently changing demands, re-prioritization of workload and high sense of urgency.
• Ability to problem-solve, multi-task and quickly learn new skills, technologies and business processes
