About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for assisting the Senior Clinical Nurse Educator (SCNE) in developing and managing all aspects of the organ recovery clinical staff training and continued professional development. This includes those organizational processes related to the organ recovery staff training and professional development, implementing and coordinating all training activities of new organ recovery coordinators (ORCs), Organ Referral Preservation Coordinators (ORPC), In-house Coordinators (IHC), and other organ recovery staff, as well as coordinating the continuing education activities for experienced staff. The CNE will also be responsible for assisting the process related to non-clinical staff basic training in the practices & procedures of organ recovery. The CNE contributes to the evaluation of clinical education staff. The CNE must collaborate with the SCNE and other educators to meet the objectives of an interdisciplinary curriculum and multi-function workforce. This position requires a proactive team player who must uphold the core values and mission of Donor Network of Arizona.

The Clinical Nurse Educator is also responsible for the duties of the Organ Recovery Coordinator, level I, II, and III. This includes roles and responsibilities related to directing, overseeing, implementing, and maximizing the organ donation and procurement process, donor evaluation, donation approach, organ allocation, and surgical recovery of organs and tissues for transplantation, medical research and education.

Requirements
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred: Master’s degree in an applicable field

Minimum Experience:
Organ Recovery Coordinator for at least (3) years (including field experience as a transplant/procurement coordinator). Candidates must demonstrate experience in excellent verbal and written communications skills, impactful presentation and facilitation skills, advanced knowledge of computer applications for presentations, and learning management. Candidates must have experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining training systems, and most importantly - coaching and developing others to improve their clinical practice.

Preferred Experience
Experience in strategic planning of short term and long term staff development, educational goals, and knowledge transfer. Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator.

Certification/License:
Required: Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CEPTC)
Arizona Board of Registered Nurses (RN)
