Applies level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and SDLC. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.


• Essential Job Functions:
• Participates as a member of development team.
• Completes development of units and also conducts reviews designs prepared by junior development teams.
• Participates in code reviews. Prepares and executes unit tests.
• Will perform unit design.
• Applies DXC and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity.
• Follows the defined systems development life cycle processes and local procedures



Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree or higher plus a minimum of 3 years experience, or a minimum of 5 years experience

Knowledge and Skills
• Four to Six years of programming experience writing code using UNIX (C, C++, shell, editors)
• Intermediate Understanding of RDBMS database, Oracle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work with and support remote workers
o Able to communicate design and function internally and with external clients
• Experience working with clients doing detailed design work and coming up with proposed solutions
• Self motivated problem solver who actively participates in solution development.
• Follows the defined systems development life cycle processes and local procedures
• Advanced understanding of modern software design and development methodologies
• Advanced understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.
• Understanding of basic Database Administration.
• Understanding of quality and security standards.
