The Federation of State Medical Boards is seeking a Supervisor in our FCVS department.
The FCVS Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising work groups and carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; timely performance appraisals; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position contributes to the overall success of the FSMB by enhancing the organization’s vitality and through services provided to state and osteopathic medical boards.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, oral and analytical skills. He or she must also possess a good work history, that includes team leadership experience. In addition, the ideal candidate must have a strong customer service orientation and a demonstrated ability to work independently, professionally and productively. The candidate must possess the ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions while performing several tasks simultaneously. He or she must be able to listen to, instruct and motivate employees utilizing a "team" approach to productivity and performance. He or she must also be able to maintain confidentiality, have a cooperative attitude and possess the ability to problem solve in crisis situations.
Education: Minimum of Associate degree or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 5-7 years experience including 2-3 years experience supervising 10+ staff. Customer service skills, preferably in a health care or professional association setting. Credentialing experience preferred. Knowledge of the FCVS work /processes.
