The Opportunity

Friendbuy is rapidly growing and expanding our Product team. Reporting to the Head of Product, you’ll be an integral member of our company. 

As a Product Manager, you’ll bridge communications between technical and business stakeholders. Your primary focus is to combine product acumen with relevant e-commerce and SaaS technology experience to help Friendbuy deliver stellar solutions for our world-class customers. With a passion for understanding business problems, and a data driven approach, you’ll conduct research and gather requirements to take Friendbuy’s platform to the next level.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with sales, customer success, design and engineering to develop functional requirements based on market research, competitive offerings, customer feedback, user experience, and architecture and implementation considerations
• Gather requirements and develop detailed functional specifications through exceptional verbal and written communication
• Work closely with design to create intuitive & compelling user interfaces/experiences for the Friendbuy platform
• Work closely with engineering to communicate user stories, identify project priorities and dependencies, and manage the flow of information to internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Product and Engineering) using the agile development methodology including sprint planning and backlog grooming
• Communicate with project stakeholders and other appropriate parties on a project-level basis to ensure that business requirements are being met and projects are completed to specifications, on time, and with all appropriate approvals
• Assist on identifying, troubleshooting, and coordinating resolution of issues on the Friendbuy platform and other related systems
• Work closely with the strategic partners team to identify requirements for new and existing integrations with market-leading technology partners
• Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications, user guides, and API documentation
• Become a subject matter expert in Friendbuy’s platform, market trends, and competitive landscape 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 2-4 years experience in product management in eCommerce or with a SaaS B2B company
• Experience working closely with Engineering and Design 
• Experience in Agile development methodology (ScrumMaster certification preferred)
• Experience with JIRA
• Understanding of different web technologies, databases, and basic query tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Detail-oriented with strong project management, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment
• Can collaborate seamlessly across Sales, Customer Success and Engineering
• Martech experience is highly desirable
