What does an Designer - Mid-Level - Hospitality do at companies like GENSLER?

As a Gensler Designer, you will tap into your boundless creativity and passion for design to produce unique and functionally beautiful spaces for clients.  You are a self-motivated, team player who is ready for active participation in all phases of the design process.  With you as part of the design team, interiors have never been so engaging.

What You Will Do

  • Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
  • Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
  • Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
  • Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators

Your Qualifications

  • Project work focusing on hospitality, food & beverage, and retail
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and have the ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
  • 7+ years of interior design experience
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience with 3D modeling and visualization software such as Enscape or Vray are a plus
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
  • Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
