Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Our account executives must possess an eagerness to:
• Utilize knowledge to develop information to attract business for new or renewal policies.
• Help prepare quotations and answer questions from agents, policyholder, or prospects. Assists agents with comments or questions about applications and the likelihood of acceptance by the company.
• Review and process request for cancellation, endorsements, etc.
• Review policies for renewal consideration. Assist in administering proper ratings by making recommendations on previously rated policies.
• Review applications for insurance coverage, reports from loss control consultants, and other information to determine if applications for insurance are acceptable.
• Request additional documentation necessary for processing of application, endorsement, or cancellation.
• Follow-up on referrals in a timely manner.
• Comply with all regulations as required by law.
• Actively participate in continuing education related to credit union career development.
Experience, Education & Certification
• HS Diploma or equivalent and life & health insurance license is required
• 2+ years of insurance sales experience.
Key Competencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, especially Excel.
• Timely and meticulous attention to verbal and written communication with members.
• Devotion to earning and maintaining member trust.
• Attentiveness to professionalism in appearance and action.
Location & Schedule Availability
• Centerville, Utah
• Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Full-time 40-hours per week
Physical Abilities & Working Conditions
Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms consistently. Ability to stand, walk, kneel and crouch occasionally. Close vision as clear vision at 20 inches or less, and distance vision as clear vision at 20 feet or more. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Moderate noise such as business office with computers and printers, and light traffic.
