General Description: Responsible for quoting, selling, recommending, and providing information for all commercial and residential products sold by HVAC Distributors; Supports all company sales initiatives, the outside and inside commercial sales group, and commercial plan and spec department.

 

 

 

What we do: HVAC Distributors, Inc. is a regional distributor and manufacturer’s representative of a complete line of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, water heating, and energy management products to the residential and commercial construction and replacement markets. We differentiate ourselves from other distributors by providing support services an HVAC dealer requires to be successful. First and foremost, we execute, nearly flawlessly. Taking orders and delivering the right product, right place, right time, and right price is what we have done well for over 29 years. Our Account Managers don’t waste time on clerical issues; they are tasked to grow relationships and sales. Secondly, we have industry leading applications support, technical service, marketing and for the contractors that want to take their business to the next level of profitability, The EverRest Success Group.

We currently employ over 140 team members in 14 branches serving contractors and dealers throughout Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Northern VA, New York and West VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assists Commercial Outside Sales personnel in developing potential and established accounts.
  • Handles incoming calls and other correspondence from customers and commercial outside sales staff in order to provide quotations, sales orders, direct ship orders and information regarding status of orders.
  • Provide quotations from customer lists and small project takeoffs.
  • Provides application, technical and cross-referencing assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Provides product recommendations and quotations to customers collaborating with Applications engineering for design assistance as needed.

 

  • Follows up weekly with assigned customers to ascertain bid status and records won/loss data in SalesForce CRM and/or Eclipse as required.
  • Processes and enters customer requests and provides plan and spec quotation support to the commercial estimators.
  • Review open order queues on a daily basis and follows up with customers to ascertain ship dates.
  • Works with Order Fulfillment Manager to facilitate the completion of project submittals, obtain necessary approvals, gather required documentation and procure materials once job is awarded in accordance with SOPs.

Qualifications


Education and/or Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or HVAC related coursework.
  • 5 years HVAC estimating, project management or sales experience.

 

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Achieve proficiency in SalesForce and Eclipse ERP.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Previous customer service and account maintenance required.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • High level of customer service urgency with close attention to detail.
