K2M Design is growing! We are seeking a Business Development and Sales Focused individual for our Indianapolis office.

K2M is a high growth, award winning, entrepreneurial design firm that is nationally focused. K2M provides a one-stop shop for clients, specializing in architecture, engineering, interior design, assessments, and various specialty consulting services.

Business Development

• Drive and execute Business Development activities to meet and exceed your annual sales goal.
• Constantly, pursue new business opportunities to ensure a pipeline of new projects for the office/company.
• Establish and grow K2M’s presence in Midwest market. Capitalize on K2M’s diverse project experience and expertise, across the company. 

Building and Maintaining Client/Prospect/Industry Contacts

• Continually develop and maintain a list of contacts comprised of: Current Clients, Past Clients, Prospective Clients
• Nurturing of current and past customer relationships responding to any needs or opportunities which they have.
• Build solid and secure business partnerships / relationships with key consultants, groups, and industry organizations.
• Attend conferences, meetings and industry events to meet new prospects.
• Form strategic relationships with other firms in the local market – to leverage partnership opportunities when they do not have an expertise.
• Research market and identify new target prospects and organizations to reach out to.

Marketing

• In all prospect and client interactions, promote company-wide services and offerings, and company value proposition.
• Partner with the marketing team to develop collateral, sell sheets, proposals, etc. to assist with new business development efforts.
• Partner with marketing team to launch targeted email and social media campaigns to create brand awareness and direct response.

Proposals

• Responsible for completing RFQ and RFP’s
• Prepare and present comprehensive and competitive business proposals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business, Communications, or Architecture.
• 10+ years’ work experience in the field of Architecture / Design / Engineering, a must.
• 5 + years’ experience in a senior leadership role or business development.
• Licensed professional (architect, engineer, design), a plus.
• Membership and activity in industry organizations, preferred. (NAIOP, ULI, Green Building Coalition, local housing network or community development corporation).
