LiftFund is a high impact non-profit whose mission is to provide credit and services to small businesses and entrepreneurs who do not have access to loans from commercial sources and to provide leadership and innovation to the micro-lending industry. The DFW Women’s Business Center, a program of LiftFund, is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, especially women and minorities through business education and consulting. The LiftFund Women’s Business Center is funded in part by a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration.

LOCATION:                 7800 N. Stemmons Fwy., Suite 120, Dallas, TX 75247
REPORTS TO:              Director, LiftFund DFW WBC
RESPONSIVE TO:        Prospective and current WBC small business clients, DFW WBC Advisory Board, LiftFund Business Support Team, DFW LiftFund team, community resource partners, SBA Dallas District Office and Office of Women’s Business Ownership
TERM:                         May 1, 2020 to April 30, 2021
 

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The primary role of the Program Coordinator is to support the goals of the WBC CARES Grant in helping small business owners, especially women and minorities, regain economic stability. The Program Coordinator will provide coordination and management of events and services for entrepreneurs whose businesses adversely affected by COVID-19. The Program Coordinator will handle communicating with both internal and external clients, and ensure proper tracking and reporting of program activities.
 

PROJECT RESPONSBILITIES

  • Speaker selection, coordination of proposals and invoices to send for approval
  • Schedule, organize and manage meetings events and program agenda
  • Work with the communications team to manage the media relations, social media, and outreach efforts
  • Ensure the COVID website is up-to-date with current information
  • Ensure proper technology for all operations (video conferencing, learning platforms, presentations etc.)
  • Prepare paperwork, order materials and catering for events  
  • Ensure implementation of policies and practices as it relates to the grant
  •  Ensure timely and accurate reporting of client data and impact
  • Assist director in quarterly and annual SBA reporting
  • Provide administrative staff support as needed
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Extraordinary communication skills, written and verbal, at varying levels and diversity
  • Ability to show compassion towards individuals with financial trauma because of COVID-19
  • Knowledge and experience with e-commerce platforms, virtual meeting and classroom platforms
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish (optional)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Knowledgeable of entrepreneurship and the small business environment
  • Tech savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office products, online presentation tools, event registration software, design software for flyers and images
