The After School Program (ASP) Expanded Learning Operations Coordinator plays an important role by providing youth-centered support to meet our students’ academic and character outcomes in service of our mission. Additionally, the ASP Expanded Learning Operations Coordinator needs to be a capable team player who communicates effectively with the ASP Director and staff, and core day directors and staff. S/he helps create a school-wide culture of strong community, demonstrates the school’s guiding principles, and is a constant learner, reflecting continuously on practice.

Your responsibilities will include:
Day-to-Day Administrative Responsibilities include:
Maintain organized office systems, distribute, collect, and input K-12 student attendance every day and assist in maintaining and reporting data to ED and Operations Team
Assist ASP Admin team with communication
Assist ASP Admin team with standard program administrative operating practices including data entry for CitySpan
Providing oral and written translation services for Spanish-speaking families and students as needed, and coordinating the translation services among other available staff members.
Maintaining an orderly, calm, and effective office environment.
Support in being the first point of contact for visitors and families to the school
Participating fully in building community between school, families, and students
Receiving, screening, and routing telephone calls; answer questions, or refer to appropriate staff person.
Provide support with mail including sorting the daily mailings and packages and performing ASP focused mailings.
Maintaining the student files and executing intake.
Data entry for grants and data supporting systems
Front Desk Support Responsibilities:
Be the first person of contact for visitors and families to the school
Support the front desk staff with lunch breaks as needed
Receive, screen and route phone calls; answer questions, or refer to appropriate staff person
Support with student Registration and other Logistical events
Managing, sorting, and in some case responding to mail
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
We would love to hear from you if your toolbox includes the following:
48 Units and/or AA degree required
2+ years of experience in urban education serving low-income students of color preferred
Experience with Google apps
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
SUPERVISION:
This position will report to the After School Program Manager.
TIME COMMITMENT:
11-month - 210 workdays, (.80 FTE) in ASP role and (.20) in Front Desk Support Role. Schedule consists of about 8.5 hours, five days a week, with typical work hours between 10:00 am - 6:30 pm and 10:15 am and 6:45 pm on Wednesday. Position starts immediately.
