Description

SUMMARY: Admissions Support Specialist work independently overseeing the analysis and management data for Admissions, assisting with general office operations and providing accurate admissions information to potential, new and current students. The Admissions Support Specialist is responsible for overseeing the operations of inventory, scheduling visitor visits, training and working with student workers, including assisting in the hiring, training and supervision of the student workers and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere within the Office of Admissions by providing outstanding customer service in person, as well as over the phone.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Coordinate functions that ensure timely entry, document management and file continuity.

 

  • Generate appropriate letters and other printed materials from CRM and Power Campus.

 

  • Put together contact strategy flow mailers – using student workers, when available

 

  • Provide reports to Admissions and other departments.

 

  • Run weekly data integrity reports to ensure correlation between CRM and Power Campus.

 

  • Upload newly accepted applicants from CRM into Power Campus on a regular basis.

 

  • Admissions Support Specialist will work closely with the Director of Admissions to produce timely reports on all enrollment inquiries, applicants, admitted students and tuition deposits.

 

  • Maintain position specific training and procedure manuals.

 

  • Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel.

 

  • Monitor supplies and materials in the office.  Inventory and order supplies as needed. 

 

  • Coordinate and assist new matriculating students and families with housing.  Provide information on housing and assist as needed with classifieds and roommate lists.

 

  • Coordinate calendars for department and inter-department meetings and coordinate social functions.  Assist with coordination and planning of New Student Orientation; Future Leopard Weekend; special events when needed with occasional Saturday and evening hours needed; and Campus Visit Program
     
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree preferred; with one to two years related experience and/or training. Must have a high level of language skills and a high level of math skills.  Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Proficient in MS Office Word & Excel and a working knowledge of a customer service management system.

 

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:  Must possess a valid driver’s license

 

Other Qualifications:  Must be able to travel 20% of the time and work weekends occasionally.
