  1. Serve the lifelong learning needs of employee populations by effectively administering the college-wide employee learning & development (ELD) program, including delivery of educational events or classes and providing leadership in the employee learning and development strategy.
  2. Manage the day to day programmatic operations including the identification, development, implementation, evaluation, and management of employee education programming. 
  3. Oversee the curricula and obtain and/or develop effective training materials utilizing a variety of media to meet demand.
  4. Create an awareness of and excitement for employee learning programs.
  5. Plan, organize, and facilitate college-wide employee development and training events.
  6. Ensure the direction of the ELD Program aligns with strategic priorities.
  7. Evaluate ELD program activities’ effectiveness annually, to include developing and administering needs assessments and evaluations of learning activities, tracking and monitoring participation, and fulfillment of activity goals and objectives. 
  8. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including college leadership, department managers and other leaders across the college.
  9. Serve as “front of the room instructor” for various learning activities.
  10. Train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
  11. Independently travel within the southern service area to promote programs and oversee employee education events.
  12. Coordinate requests for funding to attend external courses and conferences from the college-wide learning and development budget.
  13. Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, and
  • Five (5) or more years of faculty experience, or experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
  • Or any combination of education and experience that results in possession of skills, knowledge and behaviors as outlined in the position’s core competencies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential or ability to obtain.
