The Big Task: 

The Connections Coach will work directly with Nexstar member companies to facilitate member-to-member networking. Nexstar has in place a variety of networking options for its members and a desire to see proactive growth in this area. Current member networking options include one-on-ones, small groups of like-minded individuals, and larger networking group events. Member connections are facilitated via phone, video calls, email, and Nexstar events.

 Responsibilities include developing networking opportunities which embrace intent, focus and leading practices as a standard. The Connections Coach will provide a high-level of customer service and attention to detail when executing Nexstar member networking requests. Our motto is “Success through Education and Sharing” and this role is key to bringing this to life.

 Key Tasks: 

• Initiate development, building and growing of networking opportunities for the membership.
• Intentional approach to developing content and plans to best support our members.
• Brings a willingness to try new and innovative networking solutions to the forefront.
• Stay abreast of networking trends, opportunities and leading practices of our members and   share across the membership.
• Proactively creates impactful networking member groups of like-type and focus.
• Manages regional networking events, providing a platform for member learning and sharing.
• Fulfill one to one member networking requests.      
• Enjoys detailed work and provides accurate event planning and direction.
• Exercises sound business practices and excellent customer services skills. Practice what we teach. 
•  Provide and document coaching interactions and event results.
•  Participate in other Nexstar meetings, training classes and events when appropriate.
•  Participate in Nexstar staff development projects.
•  Promote Nexstar whenever possible.
• Occasional weekend work required.
  

Experience and Qualifications: 

• Qualified Candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years’ experience in a professional business setting or association environment. Knowledge of the home service and repair industry (i.e., Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical) a plus.
•  Qualified candidates will ideally have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related area.
