Overview

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

We are looking for a competent traveling Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As a point of reference of both workers and supervisors. We are looking for an individual that has experience with concrete. This position will supervise crew enebers. Anyone with superisory responsibilities is expexted to supervise in a professional positive manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Coordinating work efforts in order to ensure top safety and quality of projects
  • Ensuring the project has adequate crew members and resources
  • Help coordinate construction work according to priorities and plans
  • Able to read and understand plans and specifications for a project, as well as communicate this information to others
  • Reporting progress and other required information to the Superintendent
  • Follow schedules and monitoring crew progress
  • Allocating general and daily responsibilities
  • Responsible for building positive relationships with contractors, inspectors and fellow subcontractors
  • Performing construction duties

 

Education, Experience & Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience with Concrete 
  • Ability to travel out of town 4 weeks at a time
  • Must be willing to work any and all shifts, including weekends
  • Must be able to work in the Midwest states
  • Excellent leadership & organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively
  • Problem–solving abilities
  • Good physical condition and stamina
  • CDL class A is a plus (but not required)
  • Mechanical Skills is a plus (but not required)
  • Proven experience as a construction foremen-managing a crew
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to stand , bend and walk for up to 12 hours
  • Lifting materials or objects weighing 60+ pounds and using hand tools and power tools

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position requires a minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED equivalent and working knowledge of e-mailing and computers.
  • Prior experience with concrete and as a construction foreperson required.
  • Employee is required to have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation- valid CDL A is a plus.

 

Travel

RAM is a union employer. Travel is required for this position. Must be willing to work any/all shifts. Ram will compensate per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.

  • Pay- $22.000 – $32.00 base pay + union fringe benefit package
  • $50.00 a day per diem
  • Paid hotel room
  • Overtime during busy season as weather and project regulated work hours allow
  • Performance based opportunities

Work Environment

As a Foreman for RAM, the employee will be subject to various work environments. Work environments may include but are not limited to the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, areas close to traffic.
