Job Description: 
The Extra Help - Computer Support Tech position is limited to 29 hours per week. Specific duties include but are not limited to assessing, troubleshoot errors, and lag/update/upgrade systems. They may work with computers, smartphones, tablets, and educational databases. The Computer Support Tech promotes digital security, provides technical support to employees, and ensures systems are running effectively and efficiently to the organization’s needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
An effective Computer Support Tech uses a variety of soft skills, technical skills, and industry knowledge to provide the most efficient and comprehensive support they can. These skills include:

• Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software, and programming
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Good organization, time management and prioritization
• Efficient troubleshooting abilities
• Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
• Other duties assigned by Director

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 
Candidates must have gained previous experience from internships and/or practical learning opportunities while completing relevant course work toward a degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, information technology or computer engineering.
