UHS 3rd Shift Intake Clinician (RN or LMSW, LPC, LLP) Salary in the United States

Responsibilities

Forest View Hospital, a 108-bed facility, brings over 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for our Assessment and Referral team on 3rd shift.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicates with individuals, families, or support persons ways to access mental health treatment for their loved one in a caring, compassionate manner.
• Face to face assessment screens for appropriate services.
• Coordinates efforts to ensure timely response to all referrals.
• Communicates with each physician after each assessment and reports the recommendation of the physician to the patient, family, and or referring hospital.
• Facilitates admissions, including required pre-authorization and completion of the Forest View intake assessment documentation.
• Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with all referrals sources. Facilitates professional communication with each and every member of the referring hospitals.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service standards and behaviors. Encourages and exemplifies teamwork and participates in direct communication with co-workers.
• Handles confidential information discreetly and sensitively.
• Monitors customer satisfaction and helps facilitate problem solving with physicians, patients, families, and referral sources. Encourages a culture of personal accountability, solution-seeking behavior, mutual respect, open communication, openness to change, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Complete phone admit/med orders from Psychiatrist.
• During quiet times, may assist nursing on the inpatient units.

The hours for this position are 11:30 PM to 8 AM.

Qualifications

Intake Clinician, Full Time, 3rd Shift (RN or LMSW, LPC, LLP) Job Requirements:

• RN or Master degree in a mental health discipline and licensed by the State of Michigan required.
• Previous psychiatric admission experience preferred.
