The UHS Corporate Construction Department is hiring a Medical Equipment Planner who is responsible for budgeting, specifying and facilitating selection and coordinating the planning for major medical equipment and systems for all projects. This position also plans and manages equipment for projects including scope, schedule, and budget from conception through completion.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assess existing facility equipment for project appropriateness and recommends/justifies replacement
  • Coordinates justification and procurement process between facility and Purchasing department
  • Manage Project equipment database for all projects. Responsible for obtaining and coordinating technical data for equipment and submitting to design professional for project coordination
  • Interact closely with Regional Project Manager to keep planning and projects on schedule and within budget
  • Manage equipment construction coordination using equipment manual and close interaction with Contractor
  • Develop and document processes related to equipment planning and interaction with facilities, project managers and sister departments
  • Review and approve project capital equipment invoices for payment

 

Qualifications

Bachelors degree with 5 -8 years' experience in medical equipment knowledge.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Desire to continually learn new products
  • Travel up to 25%
