Entry level drone operator Ideally, minimal drone experience Need to have FAA 107 commercial drone license before they can start working. Knowledge test on FAA rules, not actually flying a drone in practice. Looking for people: willing to learn and travel for extended periods of time. Strong candidates without licenses will be considered, but they will need to study and pass the test on their own time. What are they looking at when they are out in the field: Transmission and Distribution – generally looking at poles and then go through a “shot list” and fly to the next pole and repeat the process or looking at transmission structures (electrical towers, etc) or at industrial sites to measure the thickness of steel or various metals (fly right up to the surface and make contact with the surface to conduct a measurement); infrared inspections on utility lines with conductors. Travelling (i.e., >80%-90%)
