Job Description Job Description Under the direction of the Restorative Justice Director, The Social Emotional Learning Manager promotes the practices and conditions required to support children, families, and staffs’ social and emotional well-being, while ensuring that services are designed to assist children in their emotional, cognitive, and social development toward an overall goal of social competence and school readiness. The SEL Manager has a minimum certification of an LCSW. This individual hires, trains and supports social work interns. This person supports students with disabilities with significant social, emotional and/or behavioral needs and provides resources to the staff who work daily with the students. The SEL Specialist will train and support out-of-school time staff to implement behavioral strategies in all three tiers from program-wide PBIS strategies to individual treatment plans to ensure students are provided with the supports they need.
