Summary of Position:# The overall purpose of the Director of Behavioral Science for the Saratoga Hospital Family Medicine Residency is to contribute to the development and implementation of the behavioral medicine curriculum in residency training and to assume a primary role in the implementation of the resident wellness curriculum (i.e. resident support groups and individual support as needed). Job Summary Develops and maintains a consistent clinical pharmacy practice that provides optimal pharmaceutical support to patients of NCHS in an appropriate, efficacious, safe, and cost-effective fashion. Serves an active role in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) service providing patient care recommendations on pharmacotherapy, assessing drug interactions, drug dosages, comprehensive cost-effective guideline- directed medical therapies, as well as optimizing concomitant medications to improve patient outcomes and minimize risk for adverse events according to hospital policies, professional standards of practice, and State and Federal laws.
