JLL is seeking Lead Operating Engineer in Sparks Glencoe, MD to join our growing team. Hours for the position is Tuesday- Friday, 8PM-6AM. RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy. Foremen and advisor for maintenance personnel in installation, repair, and maintenance of all base building and critical system machinery and equipment. Assures that equipment is maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner. Schedule: M-F, (7:00am-3:30pm) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Respond to customer comfort calls. These are usually hot/cold calls caused by the failure of HVAC equipment or controls. Troubleshoot, repair and or replace VAV boxes, PIU units, controllers, thermostats, valves, and valve controllers as required. Complete preventive maintenance (PM) as assigned including performing general maintenance and repairs. Assist senior mechanics with more complex tasks or major repairs/modifications. Learn and demonstrate appropriate alarm responses to common PLC initiated alarms. Exposed to commercial mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Must be able to communicate effectively with all customers. Must be able to organize your workload efficiently to meet all the customers’ needs.
