Full Time Position Monday - Friday at our Meade Rural Health Clinic
Job Title : Receptionist / Patient Financial Services (Full Time)
Department : Business Office
Reports To : Business Office Manager
Position Summary :
Responsible for scheduling patients, answering phones, sending faxes, etc.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1-2 years clinic experience preferred, but will train the right applicant
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Good organization / time management skills
- Good customer service skills
- Mathematical ability at a level necessary to accomplish job
- Ability to quickly analyze billing problems and make appropriate corrections
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications such as Word, Excel and 10 key
Responsibilities :
- Meet attendance and punctuality guidelines
- Adhere to dress code; no t-shirts, tank tops, cut offs, flip flops or jeans (with the exception of Friday) are allowed.
- Attend required meetings and in-service programs
- Treat customers and co-workers with respect and courtesy
- Complete mandatory education (i.e. HealthStream courses)
- Adhere to policies and procedures
- Maintain patient and system confidentiality
- Responsible for scheduling patients, greeting patients when they arrive and checking them in.
- record all patient charts and payments
- verify proof of eligibility for insurance payments
- have patient complete appropriate forms when they arrive.
- answer phones, relay messages and return calls as necessary.
