Role Overview
PI (Physik Instrumente) LP in Hopkinton MA has an immediate opening for an Assembly and Test Technician to work in our Air Bearing System Assembly & Test department based in Hopkinton MA. This is a full time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
This is a hands-on role that will work directly in our air bearing assembly department performing air bearing component assembly and system integration. Experience assembling complex motion or automation systems is a requirement of this position. Experience with air bearing technology is preferred but not required.
Key Position Requirements for Assembly and Test Technician Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, technical schooling in precision manufacturing preferred.
- US Citizen or Green Card required – evidence of permanent ability to live and work in the US is an employment contingency for this position.
- Automotive experience desirable but not required
- We will consider applicants of varying levels of experience.
- Excellent Communication Skills Required
- Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles and practices in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
Highly desirable/preferred qualifications for Assembly and Test Technician:

- Experience with high precision industrial motion or automation technology
- Direct experience with the assembly and operation of air bearings
- Experience with electrical system wiring and electrical harness assembly.
