Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) will assume responsibility and accountability for the adult and geriatric patients undergoing continuous monitoring for cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, and/or psychiatric diagnoses. He/She will be responsible for certain specialty equipment and procedures such as managing arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol, and performing peritoneal dialysis.
