Canyon Lake Fire / EMS provides Fire Operations Services to 250 square miles of northeastern Comal County. The department operates four (4) fully equipped Engines and one (1) in reserve, four (4) fully equipped Brush Trucks and two (2) in reserve and three (3) fully equipped Tenders and two (2) Squad Trucks. These apparatus are staffed with highly trained Firefighters who are also certified in Emergency Medical Services as well. Canyon Lake Fire / EMS provides public education in Fire Prevention, Portable Fire Extinguisher use and Smoke Detectors. Every six (6) months Canyon Lake Fire / EMS personnel conduct pre incident planning at commercial occupancies in the district to assure familiarization and documentation of hazards in addition to flow testing all fire hydrants in the district.
