Greenwood & Moore (G&M) was established in 1994 between Ray Greenwood and Jeff Moore; Ray Greenwood who was an established long-standing Civil Engineer in Castro Valley retired shortly thereafter. Jeff's core belief is that in order for G&M to thrive and flourish, it is his privilege to provide and to deliver to each client superior service and excellence in the fields of Civil Engineering, Design, Land Surveying, and Land Use Planning throughout Northern California. Jeff was raised in Southern California, attending Cal Polytechnic University in Pomona for his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering, and then continued his education at the University of California in Berkeley whereby he obtained a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering in 1986. He earned his Professional Engineering license in 1987. Jeff is presently serving as an Alameda County Planning Commissioner. The body is responsible for directing the short and long range growth and development of the County. He is also currently serving on the Association of General Contractors Construction Education Foundation, assisting the board in raising and distributing funding for college students interested in the construction industry. Jeff furthermore enjoys a position as a member of Sutter Better Health East Bay Philanthropy Council. Prior to joining the Alameda County Planning Council, Jeff served with the Castro Valley Municipal Advisory County (CVMAC) for 10 years, and the Alameda County Board of Zoning Adjustment for 1 year. Jeff's professional memberships include the National Society for Professional Engineers/Civil Society for Professional Engineers (NSPE/CSPE), the Association of General Contractors (AGC), American Institute of Architects (AIA), California Land Surveyor's Association (CLSA), California Storm Water Quality Association (CASQA). Jeff believes in giving back to the community and is a current member and past-president of the Castro Valley Rotary Club.
